X-Tek's microfocus CT techniques were instrumental in revealing much more hidden text not visible to previous X-ray or visual inspections. This text helped to reveal that the purpose of the Mechanism was to predict the dates and times of lunar and solar eclipses.
An animation of "undressing" Fragment G to reveal the hidden text (animated GIF 2MB).
